About me and Quest For Luxe

Hi, I am Inna the founder of Quest For Luxe, and I live in Sydney, Australia with my family. I am a wife and mum to a little boy aged 7 and we have a wild Bengal cat called Nora.

I came to photography fairly late in my life and by complete accident. After a long corporate career in finance, I went on a personal search to find a creative outlet in life to balance my logical mind a bit. One day I picked up an old camera we had in the house and pretty much never put it down. I took photos of anything and everything, starting from my cat to strangers on the street. Eventually, I found that I mostly enjoy photographing places and things with a sense of space and tranquillity, something that gave me time to think and unwind.

I love to travel to new destinations and rarely visit the same place twice, I have a long “must see and do” list!  From small weekend gateway to journeys that take some planning I love the sense of adventure and boutique experiences.

I have done some extreme travel in the past from driving self-supported through the Simpson Desert in Australia to tracking Kokoda trail in Papua New Guinea. Today my trips are a bit mellower and slow going and activities are more family friendly with a touch of luxury. On my trips, I am always on a lookout for small pretty towns, scenic drives, and chocolate.

What is Luxury Travel?

The modern Luxury travel is no longer just about gorgeous hotels and champagne but more about rare, unique and diverse experiences that will leave you inspired, refreshed and emotionally attached for years to come. It is about a personalised and customised experience that is somewhat harder to access and not readily available. Often it is in remote lands, requires planning and local services specially catering to make your experience most memorable. Our thirst and quest for unique, less touristy and more intimate adventure is the foundation of the luxury travel trends. Ability to truly unwind and immerse yourself in the beauty of the land you are visiting, learn about the culture and the heritage and the incredible diversity of local cuisine is what counts. Small boutique hotels, remote luxury resorts and family owned retreats will accomodate your off-the-beaten track adventures and cultural activities whilst giving you an opportunity to do this at your leisure.

Photography my passion

When at home my photography is mostly about our family and little moments we share drinking tea or cooking together. Quest for Luxe is my personal journey. I can share through photography and bring you stories from my travels and everyday adventures. I hope to inspire you as well to never stop to search for your own passion and creative venture that can fulfill you no matter what stage you are in your life. It is never too late to start!

I also have a fine art website where you can browse through some of my minimalistic landscape work, mostly in black and white, you can find it here www. innakazagrandi.com.au
